State social Welfare Board, Odisha initiated Swachh Bharat Mission on 18.10.2014 at 10A.M. from its office premises. The Mission was inaugurated by Smt. Nibedita Nayak, Chairperson of the state Board in midst of Local Corporator-BMC, Board Members, Fucntionaries of Voluntary organizations, employees & ex-employees of state Board. More than 80 no. of participants were actively involved in the Swachh Bharat Mission. The cleaning of office, its premises and public road in front of the office were undertaken with Banner in order to create a healthy environmental atmosphere and bring about mind set.
A beautiful bringing of Swachh Bharat event has been started / organized at Working Women’s Hostel premises at Unit-V, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Smt. Nibedita nayak, Chairperson, State social Welfare Board, Odisha ,Bhubaneswar, Smt. S. Vidyarani, APO & the staffs of state Board & WWH including the working women who are staying in the Hostels participated in this event. A very big campus of this WWH was cleaned in all the corners by the participants. In this eve Odisha state Board, chairperson in her valuable message about Swachh Bharat Programme she told to all the boarders of the Hostel and office staff that “Clean India Mission” is a very meaningful programme where everybody should clean first there home, there street, village ,town, and total India. It is not only cleaning the outside it is also a Mission to clean ourselves, our minds & hearts too. She told all the boarders that the WWH is a “Home away from Home”. So all the boarders should feel they are at their home as they are staying, eating and sleeping in a protected and secured area which is like a home. All the members of the committee including Chairperson and other staffs being their parents of this large home. Hence, they should feel safe and secured in the Hostel. She appreciated the initiation taken by the boarders to have such an idea to organize “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” so that the boarders will come to know what are the needs to be done for the hostel improvement and can be carried out by the committee which is managed by the state Board sub-Committee. She also encouraged maintaining eco-friendly relationship and atmosphere among the boarders such type of activities are very much needed. She also appreciated that this will be a unique programme as several type working women from different sectors/ nature of jobs and some of the students were staying in the WWH coming forward to organize this programme. This kind of programme helps the promote good will and fellow-feeling amongst all the boarders which no-doubt inculcates consciousness of Nation feeling among all.
