GENERAL ADMINISTRATION (AR) DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF ODISHA VIDE ITS LETTER NO GAD-ARCMGI/PCU/E-OFF/2015/327/880/, dated 3rd July 2015 has approved to implement e-Office in Odisha State Social Welfare Board through CMGI (centre for Modernizing Government Initiative) & National Informatics Centre (NIC). Odisha Sate Board will be the first among other Sate Boards to implement e-OFFICE. A group of 6 employees headed by a Nodal officer undergone training on e-OFFICE implementation. A 5 days Training Programme was organized by NIC, Bhubaneswar where a group of seven Govt. Departments/Directories/District level Institutes participated. The 7 deputed staff were imparted training through PPT classes & Live Practical classes. SSWB Team secured third position in this very first batch of training in the state. This initiative of GA Deptts. Has encouraged the morals of SSWB Odisha as a whole.
On this glorious & historic occasion Hon.ble Minister Smt. Usha Devi, W&CD and planning & Co-ordination, Odisha as Chief Guest unveiled the statue of Smt. Malati Choudhury, the famous & legendery social activist knows as “Toophani” (nick named Mahatma Gandhi) & Sarbodaya Leader. For her sacrificial tribute of whole life towards social & developmental passage,the Board arbitrates a small contribution to institute a Statue.
On 8th March 2015 at 5.30PM the Statue was unveiled in office premises of State Board with the auspicious of Hon’ble Minister, Smt. Usha Devi, Women & child Development and Planning & Coordination, Odisha. Dr. Lopomudra Buxipatra, Chairperson of State Commission for Women and Smt. Srimayee Mishra, Chairperson, Mahila vikash Samabaya Nigam, Odisha and Sh. Saswat Misra, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Govt., W & CD Deptt, Odisha were the Guests of Honour in the occasion. Smt. Nibedita Nayak, Chairperson of the Board Presided over the ceremony. Smt. Krishna Mohanty, Social activists and daughter of Malati Choudhury was facilitated memento by the Hon’ble Chief Guest,Smt. Usha Devi. Smt. Krishna Mohanty gratifies her great kindness for this historical step for remembering Smt. Malati Choudhury & unveiling the State in the State Board Office premises. The media persons also contributes their accomplishment to make this event into grand success. The Members of the Board, High officials of Govt.., Representative of Voluntary Organizations, Journalists, employees of the Board and local public were present in the occasion and praised for this inspired & social motivational ceremony.
